Southern Railway Recruitment 2023 Eligibility Criteria:
Before you embark on your journey to become a Graduate Teacher in Tamilnadu, you need to meet certain eligibility criteria. These criteria include educational qualifications, age limits, and more.
Educational Qualification: (As on 25.10.2023)
To be eligible for these exciting roles, you need to meet the following educational qualifications:
- (i) For posts in Level 1 of 7th P.C Pay Matrix – 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent or NAC granted by NCVT
- (ii) For posts in Level 2 / 3 of 7th P.C Pay Matrix – 12th Pass (+2 stage)
- (iii) For posts in Level 4 / 5 of 7th P.C Pay Matrix – Graduation
Please note that certificates/degrees issued from Jharkhand State Open School, Ranchi, are not recognized for the purpose of employment/promotion in Railways. If you’re appointed in the category of Clerk cum Typist, you should acquire typing proficiency of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within four years from the date of appointment.
Minimum Norms for Recruitment of Sportspersons:
The minimum sports norms for recruitment in Level-I to Level-5 in 7th P.C Pay Matrix are as follows:
Level 4 or 5:
- At least 3rd position in the World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior Category), World Championships (Junior/senior category), Asian Games (Senior Category), Commonwealth Games (Senior Category), Youth Olympics, Champion Trophy (Hockey). (Category – B)
Level 2 or 3:
- (a) Represented the Country in the World Cup Junior/Youth/Senior category, World Championships (Junior/senior category), Asian Games (Senior Category), Commonwealth Games (Senior Category), Youth Olympics, Champion Trophy (Hockey) (Category-B)
- (OR)
- (b) At least 3rd position in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior), Asian Championship (Junior/senior), Asia Cup (Junior/senior), South Asian Federation Games (Senior), USIC (world Railways) championships (senior), World University Games (Category-C)

- At least 3rd in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championship

- At least 3rd Position in National Games organized under the Aegis of Indian Olympic Association.

Age Limit:
| Applicants should be between 18 to 25 years as of 01-01-2024. i) Born between 02-01-1999 and 01-01-2006 (both dates inclusive). ii) No age relaxation (Upper or Lower) shall be permissible iii) The date of reckoning age shall be 01 January 2024 Please note that the Date of Birth as recorded in the 10th Std / Matriculation / Secondary Examination certificate / 12th Std / MSC or an equivalent submitted along with the application will only be accepted. Once the Date of Birth has been claimed and entered in the records, no change will be allowed subsequently on any grounds whatsoever. |
